Bite the bullet
For all you writers out there writing away waiting for your big break, my advice is to stop! Stop waiting! That is passive. Get active, take action and get noticed. People use the following catchphrase to explain away their inactivity: ‘Good things come to those who wait’, but I think that only applies to tomato ketchup in a glass bottle. Numerous writing opportunities in England to whet your appetite. To help you out I have compiled a number of opportunities (from various sources). If you have material that’s good to go then bite the bullet and take action now! What do you have to lose? Some of them close fairly soon so you might have to get your skates on.
